I visited my brother few weeks back for a completely carefree vacation in Washington state where organic baby spinach and strawberries were in season! I know these are not in season in Lebanon right now, but I find it hard not to share this recipe especially that it's super easy to make, it's absolutely refreshing and I've been meaning to try it ever since I saw a similar salad up on Foodess.

So it's been a while since I last blogged, obviously, but I came across an event that I believe should not be missed. This event is mentally and physically challenging, mostly muddy, seems tough but most importantly, extremely fun!

I have grew fond of basil ever since I got my own organic plant from the Slow Food Beirut Earth Market and I have incorporated it more in my diet as it's pretty easy to cut some fresh leaves off and add them on a pizza slice, in a salad, in a pasta dish or in my zaatar sandwich! Nevertheless, 2 weeks back, Samson from work [photo below] came in with large amounts of basil he had plantedPaty Mhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17918183826935128294noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3981027685762094417.post-81617577676184835602013-10-14T21:47:00.001+03:002013-10-14T22:06:17.962+03:00Creamy Chocolate Mousse Pie for our Happy 3-Year Blog-aversay!

Genetically modified foods are a hot topic now. They are found in many food products sold in the Lebanese market and have become quite controversial. What are GMOs? Every year around the time of
the blessed month of Ramadan there are many moms on our Facebook support group

for their babies. The answer is not simple as every mom/baby is different, but
I hope this article will be helpful and reassuring to everyone!

It's been a year and two months since I started hiking. I usually go hiking on Sundays! Not only is it considered a good workout for at least 4 hours on a weekend while connecting with the green, sun, birds, flies and butterflies around, but it's also a breath of fresh air from all the work, noise, cars, cities and pollution. It is quite rare that I skip a Sunday hike, unless it's heavily raining during winter, but when summer is here, some events Paty Mhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17918183826935128294noreply@blogger.com10tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3981027685762094417.post-82888287673168764852013-06-04T15:02:00.000+03:002013-06-04T15:23:47.331+03:00FERN - Decreasing Food Waste in Lebanon

Whether you are on vacation or
you are traveling for business, you know how hard it can be to eat well. One of
the ways in which we take care of ourselves is to eat well, and though we think
about staying safe and securing our belongings when we are on the
road, we seldom think about what we are putting in our bodies. The food that
you can get on the road is often full of fat, salt and sugar, Paty Mhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17918183826935128294noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3981027685762094417.post-34712555860671080342013-05-18T17:42:00.001+03:002013-06-15T20:51:37.472+03:00Healthy Ice Cream - Strawberry, Cashew or Chocolate Flavor?

We all know that angry moment when all you
want to do is stuff your face with that bucket of chocolate chip ice cream. Ice
cream ranks first on the comfort food list, chocolate and cookies come next for
women while pizzas and steaks are second for men. Nevertheless, we all agree
that food does more than just fill the stomach; it’s highly influenced by our
emotions and feelings.
